Why the displayed speed is 80 MB/s detected by BIOS ? If one"*" showed in the message line, it is 160MB/s. And two "*"showed, it is 320MB/s. You are advised to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version(5.10.03).you could download it from here(RAID 0)& here(RAID 1)

Does it support USB 2.0 ? Yes, it is. The transfer rate can be up to 480MB/s

Why hard disk in TR-621 can't be found under Windows XP and 2000? 1. Confirm if the 2.5" hard disk is OK.
2. If it's Hitachi hard disk, you need to connect all USB ports to computer, because this kind of hard disk consumes more power.
3. If all issues mentioned above are OK, TR-621 itself would go wrong.

How to install under Windows 98? Windows 98 doesn't support plug-and-play USB device, you could download driver from Tekram website.

The driver under Windows XP and 2000: The driver of IR-410W is build-in under Windows XP and 2000, Windows 2003 standard as well. But IrDA doesn't support under Windows 2003 enterprise.
